One Step in the right direction!!! Although it's still very, very messy, dirty and dusty we are starting to see a bit of progress! =) Tile is down, ceilings are done, new patio door is in, appliances are plugged back in and tomorrow the wood will be put down. This will be the end of phase one! Now it's up to 6 weeks waiting for the trim work, island, pantry, new cabinets and counter top. At least we can put some furniture back and some items from the living room will find a home again! This will help the chaos a lot! And hopefully my stress level! I couldn't have survived the past few weeks without the Mom's (Ginger and Judy) they are amazing! Sandi thank you and Jimmy too! Hopefully....very soon things will be back to normal. WAIT...are things ever normal in our house?!

Slow progress.....

The contractor is doing a great job and very busy everyday but there are not many new photos to post! The progress the last few days has been slow. Re-doing the ceilings, patching holes and pulling out old cabinets. The mess in the House, however, is moving into a whole new stage! UGH! We are ready for floors to be laid and hopefully only a few more weeks until cabinets are done!

From living room into kitchen / dining area
From Kitchen into living area

Coming down the hall and looking toward garage

So yesterday the entire wall actually came down! :)
Today they were working on wiring but we also nailed down a cabinet maker, choose counter tops and shopped for new lights & patio door! Scott is annoyed I am posting pics as we go instead of one before and after! SO if you come over or see Scott just act surprised! ( he hardly reads the blog anyway) lol

Looking from kitchen into living room!
From living room into Kitchen

Another view from kitchen!
Renovation!!!
The contractor started early this a.m.! Yes on a snow day, when we could have slept in and stayed in our jammies all day! BUT.....I cannot tell you how exciting it all is! We purchased our wood Sunday for the office, dining room and hall. Today I ordered the tile for our breezeway, kitchen and laundry room! Plus the cabinet maker was over! Today was the messiest day (so they tell me) tearing out the drywall. Everything was VERY dusty when he left. Some still is a little but it's a work in progress!

Snow....Snow....Snow!!!
School was canceled yesterday ( Monday) because of freezing fog! Today...snow! AND it's been snowing all day with high winds forested for tonight. You guessed it....probably no school tomorrow!

Renovation....
Slow to start! We have started our end of the de-construction! Purchased the hardwood and working on final tile and counter top choice. Now my beautiful paprika paint is coming into the question! Not sure if I'm ready or willing to re-do that! Nor...do I want to do it AFTER we put in new counters and floors so....we'll see. They are forecasting a HUGE storm for the next few days so hopefully I can spend time online looking at colors and making decisions! Contractor suppose to come tomorrow! =) The space look SO different already! At this point we are so....ready to be 'done' with this project!

Renovation! We are making a few changes to our house! Here are some 'before' photos!
Our goal is to turn our nursery into an office space with great storage and I am aiming for a beach theme. We are turning our kitchen and family room into one space. One week from tomorrow our wall starts to come down! I have this week to empty 12 years of junk from my kitchen cabinets and drawers! Here are some pics of the office space before and after. So far we only have the paint and shelves complete. We are hoping to replace the carpet with hardwood depending how the kitchen renovation goes.
Special THANKS to my dad for helping me pick out, cut and install shelves! =)

Happy New Year! =)

I am sitting here this morning reminded how blessed I am! I have 3 amazing, healthy, energetic daughters! A wonderful husband and a cozy warm home! I have a lot of plans for 2010! Yikes....2010~ I am trying to find myself and figure out what my next big mission will be! First, I feel like I have some things to get in order at home....

*****Clean Closets

*******Organize photos

********Paint a few rooms

*********Move into our den

**********Oh....and then there is the tree that is still up, laundry that is never ending and my volunteer commitments that will consume most of this week!

I mostly want to do 3 simple things this year 1. Pray More 2. Smile More 3. Complain less

If you find me getting off my path on these 3 main goals please shoot me a message!

I hope you have a wonderful 2010 and remember to focus on what matters most!

Here are a few shots from our New Years Snowmobile/ Ski trip to MI!

The first 3 days we rode snowmobiles and even rode a HUGE trip to the Mackinac bridge. Day 4 we decided our girls should experience skiing since our group was mostly skiing. Scott has went skiing before and it's not for him. So I set out w/ 3 girls to hit the bunny hill! It took a lot of practice and help from many of our friends (Thanks Wendell's and McCleery's) but the girls eventually took to it. McKenzie and I even went back after dinner for a few more tries and eventually I could even get up and down the hill successfully.

Sid was a manic! She never gives up! ;)

I will say I think I prefer the beautiful and constantly changing nature scenery on the snowmobile trails to the skiing adventure!
