Be

We still have landscaping to do but decided to get more pine tree's to finish our wind break and I have always wanted a willow tree as my Grandma has them and I enjoyed hours of play time as a child under her tree. Scott got one for us yesterday! I know...they are big and dirty, etc...we are just telling everyone it's a pear tree so we don't have to listen to the negatives of our fast growing tree! lol

Everyone joined in the planting w/ Daddy except Kerstin didn't do too much work. She prefers practicing her new 'moves'!

A Special THANK YOU to my friend Terra for allowing us to come over and 'play' Sunday! Kerstin has been asking to ride a horse for a long time! Terra has 2 pony's and 5 horses so even though it was a rainy day we were all able to ride in the barn and had a SPECTACULAR time riding, playing and just spending time with Terra and her Girls! As you can see Kenz rode an actual horse and the other two rode a pony. Sid and Meg entertained themselves by playing with cats, climbing the gates and playing demo derby with the wheel barrows! All in all it was a great day!

Lincolnview - First day to school!!

Today Kerstin started 1st grade with Mrs.Cox and McKenize went to Mrs.Owens 4th grade! They were both very excited when they left this a.m.! I wasn't even sad because it was time for a schedule and 'routine'! Until...I saw one of my friends and her hubby who had dropped their 3rd and Kindergartner off and she was crying. That made me a little weepy but once I dropped Sid at pre-school and had 2 1/2 hours to myself I quickly got over it! lol

Tonight Sid has her first gymnastics class and Kerstin is ecstatic to return to dance as she made 4 competition teams for this year!

Sidney Jo! First day of preshcool!
The Fair!
We are all home and resting this morning after 7 days at the fair! This was McKenzie's first year in 4H and she did well on all her projects. One of her market hogs placed 2nd to the grand champion market hog which allowed her to return to the final drive for a chance at reserve grand champion! We are so proud of her and she also did well at the sale yesterday! None of them were even upset when the packer came to load the hogs! She also won a bunny so we have added yet another pet to our family! She showed a lamb and is begging to get a dairy beef feeder along w/ the hogs next spring....we'll see!
Kerstin got sick on the second day along w/ several other kids. She was up and down the entire fair. She managed to get in the 'jumpie thing' a few times, dance w/ her group and LOVED the demo derby last night along w/ the cheer competition Saturday. The older 2 also showed in an open class hog show Tuesday.
Sidney started preschool last week and LOVES it! She also loved every second of the fair!
Monday the older 2 start 1st and 4th grade and Sid has preschool! We also start dance, swim, church and gymnastics next week! So long to my fun, lazy summer days!
Hope everyone is doing well!
Hugs and Love-The Davis Fam
