Happy Holidays!
This past week Kerstin had a pre-K Christmas program during the Sunday service at her pre-school! They sang two songs and she sang loud and proud!!

On Tuesday night Lincolnview Elementary hosted their Grades 1-3 Christmas program! This was double fun as our niece Marissa is in 1st grade! We enjoyed watching McKenzie and Marissa sing! McKenzie was a little apprehensive since she'd missed several practices when she was out for the chickenpox!

Next week-Miss McKenzie is reading during Christmas eve mass! This is a large service and the first time for her to read in front of the church!

They both have Holiday parties and exchanges at school this week and we are all looking forward to Christmas break!

Tree Trimming Fun!
Everyone is anxious for the big holiday! Our tree is up and we have seen Santa!
Our lists are ready! McKenzie and Kerstin claim to have been "good" girls! Sid bluntly told Santa she is only good "sometimes!"

Check me out! I made MORE!! While you were upstairs putting my photo on the blog I was in the kitchen making more toast!! :)

"what? We are out of ice cream?" hmm....Maybe I can drink the sprinkles instead of putting them on ice cream! no that's not working....I guess I can put it on toast?! Yea, mom is putting cinnamon sugar on her toast! I'll do my own w/ green sprinkles! "YUM...It's good!"

Happy Thanksgiving!
We had an amazing vacation and Holiday!
We took our time traveling to FL and spent 4 days at Pensacola Beach! The temps were much colder than normally so the beach was out and the outdoor pools too! However, we swam inside everyday! Took a day at the Naval Air museum with a personal tour from the best pilot around--Uncle JB!
We also spent 2 nights at April's and met the newest addition to our family! Payton Andrew! He is so beautiful!! The girls loved holding him and spoiling him! JB and April make a great team caring for their new little guy!
We had a very relaxing thanksgiving day and great meal! Time to get back to reality!

Last night we painted and carved pumpkins!
It was so much fun! McKenzie and I carved while Kerstin and Sid painted! As you can imagine Sid had most of the paint on her and the floor and the chair, etc!

Then Kerstin decided we should save the seeds to plant our own pumpkin patch next spring. As her and Sid were sorting seeds Sid tackled her with a hand-ful of pumpkin guts! There is always something fun happening here!
Stay tuned...Halloween photos to come soon! We are trick or treating on Saturday! I hope we get tons of YUMMY candy! :)

Finding the perfect pumpkin!
Kerstin's Field trip to the pumpkin patch was tons of fun! :)

Recently at my mom's Longaberger party I had a little help!
Looks like someone may be taking over for me soon!

McKenzie's Hogs:
We have been raising our pigs all summer and McKenzie has been a real trooper! Cleaning and feeding as needed! Thankfully, she has not named them or gotten too attached to them! Last week we roasted one and boy was it yummy!

Well as my dad tells me "I'm officially a soccer mom"! This is funny because I'm also a dance mom, cheer mom, and volunteer at school mom-- you get it! But you never get the title until your kid actually plays soccer!
Kerstin LOVES it! I can't even tell you how much! :)
As you can see from the photos, McKenzie is thrilled to come watch on cold, wet Saturday mornings! We are all really enjoying it!
I am also attaching a photo of Sid--her latest and greatest is to get naked!! Here she is at least wearing pants while eating her ice cream!

What a fun day at our house!!

It started out as a normal day. Then the mom got a bit distracted working on FL reservations and I admit, I noticed it was quiet for a long time. A bad sign and looking back I should have checked into what was happening!
What was happening was a make over session w/ all my make-up AND complete with new hair cuts for all! Carley has long hair and we couldn't' really see her new "do"! Kerstin's is the worst and sides is manageable since her hair is curly!
Then later in the day! Our poor fair fish were fed the entire can of fish food! Luckily, I heard the bowl clanging and was able to "hopefully" save them from overeating themselves to death! We are already down 2 fish!

Fair Photos!

Thursday, September 07, 2006

The fair was fun as always! Too much fair food, playing cards, rides and an incredible concert on Sunday night! JoDee Massina was amazing! She was very talented and a great performer!
McKenzie had her first experience showing hogs on Tuesday! She did an awesome job-placing 2nd in her class and really knew what to do! I was so shocked when she got pinned w/ the hog and immediately started to brush it! She won $40 and thinks it was super fun!
Sidney LOVED all the animals-as any 2 year old would and the rides too! She devoured corndogs like there was no tomorrow! I'm sure it will take her system a bit to get back to normal!
Kerstin had most of her fun playing w/ the Williams girls, Ethan Kemler and Braden at the campers! Rides were a big hit for her too and the horses!
We even made a little money at the fair since Scott won cow patty bingo twice!
April-next year I will have to communicate w/ you live from the fair's webcam! The Williams talked to Lori from it (She lives in Orlando)! I never thought about it! Maybe I can eat our funnel cake while you watch! :)
OH---I finally made a blue ribbon, first place apple pie and won my $3!

April was just home for a quick weekend! It was wonderful to see her! We hosted her baby shower while she was home. Thanks to everyone for helping with this event! Here she is with all 5 of her nieces! Her little boy will add a nice mix to our family!

First day of School

Can't imagine....McKenzie started second grade today!
Kerstin starts pre-school next Thursday! Dance class and cheer class starts after the fair. We are all excited for the fair and McKenzie is showing a hog in the Ryan Trentman memorial show on Tuesday!

I am entering baked items and photos into the Sr.fair exhibits! Hopefully I win a blue ribbon! :)
